Welcome to my online portfolio. My name is David Chadwick and I'm based near Birmingham in the UK. I offer a range of creative solutions, which includes web design or video work. This website contains some examples that will enable you to see exactly what I can produce and incorporate into a media-based request. My main emphasis in design is to keep my work simple but effective and i tend to focus more on structure, consistency and elegance. I have experience with CSS, HTML, PHP and Wordpress as well as a degree in Web Design and Multimedia. My goal is to ensure my clients are happy with their design and that it meets their requirements. I test all my designs in multiple browsers, which include Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera and Netscape Navigator.

Completely revamped and re-coded Marks site with an all new look. Lots of colour and vibrance to match his work. Also changed the store appearance, which accepts payments directly through Paypal.

This project is still under construction but functions as an online store would need to with cart and checkout. Product photos are of high quality with zoom functions for clothing detail.
Many user friendly benefits have been added to the new design using php commands, allowing updating and editing even easier than before! His store is fully integrated with paypal to allow direct payments on any work he wishes to make available for sale. The main change within the appearance is blending in a new header using one of the many works he has produced. After various experiments Mark made his choice of favourite.
Theres still lots left to be done on this project but functionally it all works as it should. It includes stock control, product attributes (e.g. sizes, colours), zoom function, quantities and a full checkout system which requires the purchaser to enter his/her address details. The type of clothing available here is MOD and Retrowear, which is why the site focuses around white, blue and red colours. Should be online soon but for now its still being constructed.

An online catalogue for a local area Florist with categories of flowers and gifts. A great advertising method to help create business and increase sales without the buyer having to visit the shop.
Mark can keep an archive of his works within Wordpress and categorize them into specific areas. Visitors can purchase paintings via paypal with alternative shipping methods depending on their location. His work has caught the eye of people all round the world with multiple purchases and an invitation to display work in a New York exhibition. There are numerous features within this site to add to the visual appearance including sliders, accordion and fancy zooms.
Currently visitors cannot make purchases via the website but they can view the beautiful designs that are available and phone the shop to make an order. This was the specific requirements of the client with the option of adding online purchases in the future. My brother provided the photos, which were then edited and enhanced by myself. We used different green screen and white backing methods to create transparent backdrops for each arrangement.

A video in conjunction with Twycross Zoo in Warwickshire as part of a University project to show the entertainment value for both adults and children.
This experimental piece allowed me to examine many different effects to help add mood to video footage resulting in a composition that flows, grabs the eye of those watching and makes reading names more interesting. I was very pleased with the quality and the angles I had captured.
A great learning curve in negotiated work, working with nice people and also having to deal with various problems such as camera reflection on enclosure windows and trying to capture the animals in the best possible way. The staff were very friendly providing feedback and advice.
