This example title sequence uses footage recorded by myself on my HV20. Alot of different effects have been added to help achieve the dark and spooky feel such as flickering lights, glow, fractal noise for the smoke, level adjustments, blur and warping. It uses clamped values that defines the probability and this creates lots of randomness. The probability can be set to whatever I want, if I wanted to have alot of flickering for example I would set the probability value to 1 in 2. These values are added by way of expressions, which takes the position, scale or opacity that has been set. There are two values being 0 and 1 (basically 0 is off and 1 is on) so the expression I use takes the probability and turns on the effects I've set randomly because it'll either be 0 or 1. So for example if I added a word and wanted each character to increase in size and wiggle to create a jumpy text animation, I'd set an expression so that it only happens when the value changes to 1 depending on the probability that i've set. I recorded the footage in Birmingham, Derby and Tamworth in some fantastic derelict locations, which I think works perfectly for the job.
